Dear members of Post 24, It has been some time since we last met and we have business matters that need addressed. We will need to have a regular meeting next Thursday May 21st at 7 pm. I will be present at the meeting in person so that we can operate the Zoom as well for those who cannot be present in person. Items for discussion: 1. Status of the post - since we still are an active charter, we much hold elections. 2. Finance Report 3. Need DOBs and dates of service from every active member to consider PUFLs with our remaining funds. 4. Guests - Cdr Sid Lee and Adjutant Ed from Post 41 Colfax, to discuss potential merging of our posts rather than turning in our charter closure would result in the post not being able to stand back up for at least a year; members would have to transfer to another post. Merge would result in our post co-existing with Post 41 and Post 41 as primary or Mother post, but we retain our identity as members of Post 24. 5. Memorial Day Service. Do we want to try to pull together a rifle squad with community assistance? Greg Parch has group to put up crosses, and arranged a guest speaker. 6. DoD did not send shipping boxes for the rifles.
