CARBON POST 17, RED LODGE, MT MEETINGS ARE THE SECOND TUESDAY OF THE MONTH AT 7:00 PM AT THE ELKS LODGE , 114 N BROADWAY, RED LODGE. Next meeting will be 12-11-2026. Keeping with National request, and something we want to do anyway, is "Buddy Checks". We call or visit persons we do not see on a regular basis. December 30 is the date that all 2025 memberships EXPIRE. For those of you who have not yet renewed, please do so as soon as possible to avoid the lapse in Continuous Membership. We would like those who can, to attend at least one or two meetings a year, we usually only have 10 a year anyway. We have projects, and it is the same few people that do every one. I am appreciative this year, however, as attendance has increased from 4-5 to 7-9, at meetings, it is wonderful. Renewal funds are extremely important to National and the Department, especially, to do the many tasks they do on behalf of all veterans. The post gets a small cut of each renewal, which helps us pay for postage stamps (becoming a significant expense) to purchasing the posts and white crosses each year, for the Highway Fatality Marker program. We do fund raisers, for Boy's state, and Girl's State, Memorial Day Breakfast, new Cemetery Flags, and the 3' X5' and a couple 4' X6' flags we purchase to replace tattered flags in the area. thank you For information, contact: starting now, - American Legion Post 17 has a new address going forward.
