Get Involved & Stay Connected Monthly Meetings: - Join us on the first Thursday of the month for our regular gatherings to discuss post business, upcoming community events, and legislation. - Socializing and refreshments begin 30 minutes prior to meeting times. We encourage all Legionnaires to arrive early to connect with fellow members. Community Traditions: - Post 47 proud historic highlights include leading the 7:30 AM flag-raising ceremonies at Ponchatoula Cemetery for major patriotic events. - Reveille & Roast! Wake up and kick off the weekend with us! American Legion Post 47 is launching a brand new Friday morning (8am-10am) tradition, and you are invited. Whether you want to catch up with old friends, meet your neighbors, or just grab a great cup of coffee on your way to work, our doors are open. - We also coordinate annual Wreaths Across America honors to remember our local fallen heroes.
